Tortoise : album de raridades + album de covers

Os Tortoise vão editar uma caixa de três discos no próximo mês de Abril. O registo contém 33 temas raros da banda norte-americana. Rhythms, Resolutions and Clusters – título do primeiro álbum de remisturas que a banda lançou, datado de 1995 – era o título previsto para esta edição mas prevê-se que o nome ainda seja alterado até à altura do lançamento.

Esta caixa de raridades contém um DVD e dois CDs. O DVD ainda não está terminado. Os CDs são compostos por temas raros, na sua maioria remisturas da autoria de artistas como Autechre, Yo La Tengo e Mike Watt. As remisturas editadas previamente em Rhythms, Resolutions and Clusters também estão incluídos neste pacote. Para além dos lados-B de singles e remisturas, poderão ser encontrados nos CDs canções incluídas em compilações e faixas bónus.

Entretanto, o lançamento de The Brave and the Bold, álbum de covers dos Tortoise com Will Oldham (no seu pseudónimo Bonnie Prince Billy ), está agendado para o dia 24 de Janeiro nos Estados Unidos. Ainda durante este ano a banda vai começar a trabalhar no seu próximo álbum de originais, que deverá ser lançado no final do ano.
