Silversun Pickups, my best sound surprise since Autolux…and “Carnavas”, one hell of a debut full length album after the 2005 “Pikul” EP!

An incise and dry, straight-up indie rock n' roll record that combines the best of "white noise" (Sonic Youth, Autolux, Smashing Pumpkins (Gish, SD) and Can’s a like “fucked up” fuzzy distortion) and textured melancholic atmospheres (Ride, Lush and My Bloody Valentine’s dreamlike aural ambiances) all layered in-between "scream until it hurts" boy-girl-ish vocals and right-in-step percussion…

Furthermore and the best of all, it’s a terrific breath of fresh air from all the unbearably rehashed and lame 80's wannabe synth-pop/post-punk (mixed with teenage emo) revival.
